Hi there folks! Me revolà! :D
I'm super glad to come back to visit dA again! :boogie:
And to celebrate that the expo I was waiting for (expo from the school I mentioned some months ago) and the stress of making projects for it are already over, I decided it was a good moment to come share a cool drawing.  I hope  I can have time tomorrow or other day to talk a bit about that, and other things that have happened.

It will be one of the drawings I've done months ago, cos since I signed up to college I haven't made new ones =P This one might not be that "fresh" but it's cool too; it's about one of the new stories I'm creating. An story about a girl who finds a totem (magic or sci-fi I haven't decided :XD: ) and has a gecko pet  (for the ones who still don't know or are new visitors).  In nowadays is an story in process, but it's going to be cute and fun when I finish it. I would love and I plan to make a webcomic out of it :)

When I was drawing this, I still remember I had a lot of doubts about it *chuckles* But with time (and specially with making this story) I discovered that for writing (or making art in general) you not only need talent, but also persistence and most important: faith in yourself!
And yeah it's normal to feel doubts from time to time, specially when you start an artistic project and you notice that there are setbacks, but these are always just like "little rocks in the way" as we say in mexico. Inconvenients that are temporal and will pass if you work hard and have faith in you
and your work.

In a lifetime making art, I've realized that setbacks are there to make life more interesting, but are not a big deal.   And if doubts assault you, you just need to try and relax, then keep trying. With love and dedication! And everything will come out good at the end.
For example, when you feel stuck in doing an artwork what I would recommend is to take some time to relax, to do other things. Things like, I don't know...like taking a walk or make a picnic in the park, to go to the beach, play with your pet if you have one, play a cool video game or to watch a good
movie, that always helps and makes you feel ready to re-take the story or painting or comic or anything you're doing.
Also, the more you force yourself to do art because you "have to", the more you got a blank mind. It's only when you do art for the sake of art, when you write and draw for yourself, because you love it, when the really amazing things come out :D

Do you know why Stepheng king for example, it's the autor who sells most books in the world? It's because he writes for his own amusement, not to gain money.
That's my motto since a good time ago, to do my art for me, things I love things I feel good with! And I've noticed that's when the art I do like to people the most. That's why I kept developing this story, but not for gaining money or being popular...but just because I love to write! ^^

So at that day in August I did this sheet of sketches. I did it to inspire myself to write an script, cause I realized that when I do artwork of my stories and characters, I feel inspired to write. I feel this strange urge to write and I have cool ideas, and it's amazing! :XD: And when I write, I feel like drawing! :wow: It looks like magic, but it's actually a very elementary thing hehehh.
I just wish someone have told me this before... it seems like I took much time to discover it! :XD:
So, my second advice it's that you try to do the stuff you imagine, even with the doubts, cos once you start doing one of the things (either drawing or writting) that first thing will inspire you to do the others.

I think the sketch in Sepia its self-explanatory. First there's Laura the main character as a teenager, and his pet who it's a gecko and at that moment had no name, but now it does! His name is Ju :excited:...I mean, I'll tell you about it later, I'd love to do it with an artwork :)
The other it's Laura kid, and that's the scene where she shows the gecko his home, it supposed to be a glass container, and it has some drawings she glued there to decorate the "house", but since she's a kid she draws a bit sloppy
...And no that's not a Cemetery! :XD: It's supposed to be a drawing of London she made, cos she lives there and she likes the place.

That why I made her live on London? Well...because of the British accent of course! :D ;)
Yeah I know, probably I will never have the chance to put up this on tv so voice will be useless, but...but...but just in case :XD:
Also in the original story she was British and lived in London, cos I would love to visit London someday. There if you observe, the tallest building is the Big Ben.
