Description

Hi there folks!
Today, as it was a very nice and quiet afternoon in the office, I took my time to relax and have some fun doing something of my own creation. And for my own suprise, I finally could be able to draw male anatomy well! Not greatly but at least well enough to not be embarassed to show it here, FINAAAAAAAAAAALLYYYYYYY!!! :excited: :boogie:  :squee:

So I'm so unbeliebably proud of this piece!!! :excited: ... Even if I probably shouldn't be
Because usually when I try to draw male characters I don't draw them well even of the faces and then I end up being frustrated. But this time I did it, and I know it is because a friend of mine made me the honor to take his time to talk about this character with me. He made me feel so happy and so relaxed and thus, I could feel full of inspiration to draw something new :D Something that I wanted to do since a long time ago but I couldn't that was to make a character sheet of this character! So great part of the credit for this goes to him :aww: And I dedicate this to him with much love and warmth from the botton of my heart! ^__^ Oooohh I'm so happy, it's the first time I really enjoy drawing human anatomy :wow: :excited: I think its because I was relaxed and happy and I having so much fun doing this! :aww: And that's the reason why it came out so well :aww:
I put a quote of what he told me today about the drawing, because it was just sooo nice and touched my heart so much! :')

"Its like looking at a stunning momnument and being rendered speechless! You have created a true work of art that trancends simple beauty and conveys layers of emotion and depth that few people ever reach. Your soul and love and passion so pure looking at thiese drawings is like bathing in a warm light of eternal wisdom"

Now, I'd like to talk about the character :D He is french, as you can see for the name and the french dialogues :aww: Well probably it's not that obvious cos I people can talk french without being french. But yeah he's French :D He is a naturalist who has a show about animals with a friend of him called Chip (Chip it's american but knows french too) and it's a character from a story of mine, that I invented like 10 years ago, about a girl who gets powers to interact with animals and saves them from people who wants to hurt them.
I don't want to talk much about the story itself because I hope I can release it in form of a comic book or a graphic novel....or mostly, I planned it to be a tv show, so I will spoil you if this story is ever a success to release it :XD:
I can tell you though,  that Chip and Jean are secondary characters of this story, but I've thought of making a show for them alone, like a prequel cartoon series of whenthey were younger, before they had this nature show.

Now about the drawing, he is using swimsuits in all the sketches if you haven't noticed it. And he usually uses this sort of middle-long shorts to go to the beach, cos he is so shy to use the other kind of swimsuits.
That's why he is blushing on the sketch where he's using a bit more "tight" swimwear :giggle: Also I added a couple of great french prases and expressions I've read and learn so far, so people can get curious and google them and know a bit of french lingo ;) Or you can ask me about it too. I am always glad to share what I learn with my fellows. :D
But the most important thing about this character and drawing, it's that with this character I wanted to do 2 things that I think, are very important for me in these days:

1 - I wanted to to portray a normal looking man, a character who could have a natural and realistic looking, like a real man! :D Not like most of cartoons I've seen, where the anatomy it's either insipid and awfully bad proportionated, or the characters look ridiculously overly ripped, so much that you don't feel any sympaty for the characters cos milles away you can see they are fake cos they look like action figures. :XD: That's why the little details on him like the body hair that looks something a real man would have, and the freckles :aww:
Of course characters who are body-ripped so to speak, they're cool too and sometimes that's appropiated for the situation.
I just have always though that little "body imperfections" make characters more human :)

2 - I wanted to portray a man who loves the stuff that he loves and is not afraid to show it out, even if it's "inusual" for the genre or the age to like. Like for example,  liking cartoons and games, or liking wearing pink, or wearing colorful clothes!
Also a man who can show that he's sensitive without being considered less or weird :) Because I've always feel strongely that there's a huge need to have a character like this in the entertainment industry, a man who is sensitive and doesn't fear to show it up, but not exaggerately sensitive to a ridiculous extreme. I think a character like that be a healthy and positive, inspiring role-model for everybody, of doing what you love and express what you feel and not let people shame on you for that! :aww:
