First Retro Potrait

Just a nice retro portray of one of my characters I started to make probably on nov 2010, and I finished it on Abril 12, 2011. Sorry that it took me a year to post it but I wanted to post in here when I could have the time to make a good description of the drawing. This one wasn't painted with tablet (if you see the date it's obvious) it was painted by mouse over a rough sketch I made by hand.
This drawing it's dedicated with love to 2 guys, to my dear friend and also to because thanks to them I was inspired to make this (semi?) realistic portray. I said "semi" because even with all my effort, I couldn't make it to look completely realistic, but still, I tried my best I'm very pleased with this and the important thing it's that it gave me so much fun! really enjoyed this drawing becuase it appeals to an idea I had been thinking soo long ago, to make a realistic retro portray of this character of mine. I always wanted to make a retro potray of someone, and at that time I was feeling lonely and sad cos someone broke my heart and treated me badly, so I think in part I did this cos I wanted to feel better with myself, since she's a character of mine who is the example of the Mexican girl, so I think I wanted to show a portray that gives people a good vision of Mexican women
Her hair isn't that way usually, but in this drawing it is a bit fluffy because it's the hairstyle, I think it fits very well the retro vibe Oh and other thing, she doesn't have any makeup except for the lip glittery lipstic. Also she usually doesn't dress like this, but in this one pic she's dressed for a concert or something because her dream was always to be a singer, and her dress it's a retro design of mine All the outfit is my own desing. I liked the little details in this one, specially the old vinil discs whose title stickers I made by myself they are very much alike of real life posters of discs (except from the Beattle's love songs one) cos I took some refereney from real old discs covers.
Well, this is a gift to thank him for all the inspiration he has given me with his art and his wonderful words of support and love and encouragement about my artwork since I met him!!
